The good stuff

What really clicks is how much detail they’ve packed in. I started with chickens and pigs, but then upgraded to buffalo-yeah, you can actually ride a buffalo now, which is weirdly fun. The new crop list is solid too. Rice paddies in Asia? Check. Winter wheat in Europe? Double check. Each region feels different, not just visually but in how the soil behaves and what grows best. And the machinery selection-400 types-isn’t just window dressing. You’ll find yourself switching between a small tractor for tight fields and a massive sprayer for wide-open acreage. I even rode a motorcycle through a field once because why not? It wasn’t essential, but it made me laugh.

The not-so-good

But hey, it’s not for everyone. If you want fast action or quick wins, this isn’t your game. I’ve seen people quit after 30 minutes because nothing “happens” until you’ve planted and waited for weeks. Also, the learning curve is real. You don’t get hand-holding. There’s no tutorial that explains how fertilizer works or when to switch from seed to harvest mode. I had to Google basic farming terms just to keep my cows happy. And if you’re used to games like Animal Crossing where everything’s cute and forgiving, this will feel cold and mechanical. It’s more “realistic farm work” than “fun farm game.”
